Disney and Pixar movies can be found here in abundance, along with National Geographic programming and every Pixar short ever made – all available to stream in 4K quality!

Disney Plus is an ideal streaming solution for families, offering plenty of content designed to keep children occupied and amused. However, adults may prefer other sources of more mature content. While Disney has added R-rated movies and Marvel shows to its library of offerings, its offerings still don’t compare with competitors such as Netflix, Hulu or Peacock.
It’s easy to navigate
Disney Plus streaming platform is simple for anyone to navigate, even new users. Its user-friendly web interface and full accessibility with NVDA make finding what you’re searching for easy. Furthermore, search and watchlist features make using this streaming service effortless.
Your Disney Plus homepage features movies and TV shows from a list of featured content, while six blockbuster collections – Disney, National Geographic, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars – can help you quickly access specific offerings of these brands, like Spiderman or Winnie the Pooh collections. From here you can also access account settings and personalization as Disney Plus provides up to seven profiles per household with customizable themes, avatars and watchlists for each account.
Apps are available for Android, iOS and Microsoft Store computers – download is free – sign up for Disney Plus subscription for $7/month or $5 when purchased with Hulu + Disney+ ESPN bundle and you will get a 7 day free trial period before being asked for credit card details by the app.
It’s got lots of original content
Disney Plus is one of the premier streaming services, providing an array of exclusive films and TV shows, spanning family friendly entertainment to cutting edge documentaries. Plus, with such an expansive library of Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar franchise films and shows available to subscribers – Disney Plus truly makes for a worthwhile streaming service experience.
Disney Plus is also an ideal solution for anyone who enjoys Saturday morning cartoons, offering classic titles from their animated classics section such as Star Wars trilogy movies and Ewoks.
Disney’s focus on children’s content may limit its appeal for adults. While Disney has made efforts to broaden its adult offering with several mature Marvel and Star Wars shows, competitors such as Netflix, Amazon Prime and Paramount Plus offer greater selections of grown-up entertainment.
Disney Plus provides access to many of Disney’s popular properties, but does have some notable gaps. Viewers in the UK, Australia and New Zealand can watch a selection of drama on the Star channel that spans everything from sitcoms like Modern Family and genre classics such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Nomadland to an original 4:3 format of The Simpsons rather than its more contemporary 16:9 version that caused much contention upon its debut.
It’s not perfect
Disney Plus may not offer as many original series and films as Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime Video do, but its vast library and user-friendly app make it worth taking a look for fans of its signature franchises.
The Disney+ interface is user-friendly and straightforward, featuring a web-like carousel at the top for new releases and genres (New to Disney+, Recommended for You, Continue Watching column and Originals). However, more of their vault of content — particularly those tailored toward adults rather than just children — could be highlighted more prominently within its pages.
Disney Plus should introduce a host who can provide context for older titles, similar to TCM’s Ben Mankiewicz providing classic films and TV shows on TCM. This should be available to all viewers not just those paying extra.
Other streaming services provide the option to save your place in a show, making it easier for viewers to pick back up exactly where they left off – particularly on larger television screens. But these are minor concerns; Disney Plus remains an outstanding streaming option for fans of its big properties and belongs among the elite services.
